They're Poets and You Wouldn't Even Know It!

The Year 5 OC class from St Joseph's Catholic School, The Strand have recently visited Gumburu and on their departure the students wrote and read out a couple of wonderful poems for us:

Thank you Mrs Furber
You are a great chef and a really top server
When it comes to food
You’re always in a great mood
We loved your food lots
We emptied your pots
You’re helpful and kind
Mrs Furber and Gumburu has been fantastic finds
And 5OC have had the best of times!

Mr O’Connor

Gumburu, we love it,
It sure has been a hit
We’ve waited and waited all year
Talk of leeches and ticks have held no fear
We’ve loved the birds, creek critters and bush turkey talk
And especially our Cloudy Creek walk.

Mr O’Connor, you’ve been hard- working and fun
We haven’t even missed the sun!
Being with our friends has been just great
From 5OC, we say a huge thanks mate!
