    We recently had the Year 6 class from Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers with College Principal Mr Daniel McShea join us here in Paluma. Here is what Mr McShea thought of their stay at Gumburu Environmental Education Centre...

    "I  thoroughly enjoyed school camp at the Gumburu Environmental Education Centre at Paluma and have visited here on several occasions. The centre has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and the experience for students is always a positive and a memorable one.

    The opportunities for students to learn about the environment in such a beautiful and well maintained setting is both unique and memorable. The notable difference between this and other school camp settings is the hospitality of the wonderful staff at Gumburu who always make staff and students feel so welcome and cared for and they always comment on the quality of the food and the expertise of the centre manager who is always prepared to go the extra mile.
